Packing!

Wow! It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged haha…

Well, life has certainly taken a turn for the more interesting.

Funing, my best buddy and I are going to go to Europe tomorrow! So, I guess this will be a way for me to keep track of my time in Europe. It’s sort of a back to roots trip as both Funing and I used to live in Sweden when we were tiny rascals.

Anyways, better things to come

Hope this works.Anyways, I have a workaround for the 5AM starting debacle.

1. Take cab to Union station. @ 5:30
2. Take first train from Union Station for Pickering. @ 6:13

3. Bo will rendezvous with Ingrid. @ 6:50

4. Get to Ottawa in 4 hours after that @ 10:50 for brunch. Saturday is saved.
Total cost of trip: Cab + Train = 10 + 5.55 = $16.

Time saved: 3~4 hrs.

Disappointment/Euphoria

The library gave me the 1987 version of the book where they put color televisions on a pedestal (sp?). I think I will have to buy this book from ebay, there's just no other way around it. If I'm doing this I am going to have to shell out the big bucks.

Got some Matlab code off the Internet that does a Neural Network with two hidden layers. It does cropping and normalization on a bitmap and trains on it for enough epochs such that error is below some threshold. Then tests on another set of inputs. So far it seems it is working! Oh yeah, it's regarding a character recognition project for my AI course. I will have to change the input, because my training set is already normalized and is not in a bit map form. I hope this makes my life easier. Also, I only need one hidden layer. I wonder if I have to rewrite the feedforward code that Matlab provides in the NN toolbox. Oh well, one step at a time

Time to rant again!

Gosh, I keep on going back to the bpark3.com site haha. Maybe I should play a game or two just for kicks…ugh.. just can't seem to get away. Cold turkey is hard!! This is an addiction akin to drugs and alcohol and it's not recognized! There should be a gamer's anonymous somewhere haha. Put a room full of gamers and the next thing you know there's a LAN party.

It's okay, I am still determined. Day 7? Reminds me of my Cali days when I didn't have a computer at home so I couldn't game. Still going strong!
